40+ Years of Practical Experience

Every child deserves the opportunity to build practical life skills before adulthood.

That simple belief became Common Sense Factor Kids™.

"Think back for a moment. What’s one life lesson that helped shape the person you are today?"

For many of us, those lessons didn’t come from a textbook. They came from spending time with family, learning from loved ones, asking questions, trying something new, and sharing everyday experiences.

Childhood memories, time spent with loved ones, and the practical life lessons learned through everyday experiences inspired the creation of Common Sense Factor Kids™. The series is built on the belief that some of life’s most valuable lessons are shared through conversations, curiosity, and spending time together.

Where the Idea Began

Some of my favourite memories weren’t found in a classroom. They came from working alongside others, helping with projects around the home, exploring outdoors, asking questions, solving problems, and discovering how things worked.

Looking back, I realize those experiences shaped not only the skills I developed but also the way I see learning today.

Why I created Common Sense Factor Kids™

Over time, those conversations convinced me that practical learning shouldn’t begin in adulthood—it should begin in childhood.

That belief became the foundation for Common Sense Factor®, an educational initiative built on the idea that practical knowledge should be accessible, encouraging, and easy to share.

Along the way, I recognized two growing challenges:

That observation led to a simple question:

What if we could introduce practical life skills earlier in a way that was fun, engaging, and age-appropriate?

Our goal isn’t to replace teachers or professionals.

Our goal is to help children become more curious, more confident, and more aware of the world around them.

We believe curiosity is one of the most powerful tools a child can develop. When children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and better understand the world around them, they build skills that can serve them throughout their lives.

Common Sense Factor Kids™ is published by CS Factor Book Publishing Inc. as part of an ongoing commitment to practical education, community awareness, and lifelong learning.

Today’s small lessons become tomorrow’s confidence.

"My hope is that every child who opens one of these books discovers that practical learning can be enjoyable, confidence can be built one small lesson at a time, and curiosity can become a lifelong habit."
